OHR IM NEUMARKT NR. 4:
DUO TOBIAS PREISIG - JAN BANG

Picture: Francesca Pfeffer

The one is a cunning melodist, he who can claim to have danced with the moon, furtively, and to have counted shooting stars as they went; a lunatic, who is seduced by the soul's whirrs to speaking in tongues. He has spoken a thousand languages and his violin can play more than a thing or two about it. A madman who travelled to the farthest corners of the earth fishing for sounds that rhapsodize the night. If you listen to his music, you will hear the wind and the sound of the waves; and the buzzing of time that's coming around.

The other is a tinkerer through and through, whose lust for life brings him around, capturing all in his heart. An alchemist of invisible oscillations, the kid brother of Deus ex machina, he can transform an empty noise into magic clouds that cause the capricious cable connectors to exult.

Together they wander through the holy sites of the reincarnations of Sturm und Drang, in order to present us at the end, exhausted and delighted, with sound treasures borne out of pure excess, of the overflowing heart.
